Arima's family is ironically not what changes his character, but they are what determined where he started from and the reason why he decided to live his life as a 'perfect person'. Thus it's important to understand all parts of his family. The Family Ties / Hate section seeks to help with just that.

I'm sure this is probably not as much of a problem, but parts of these sections describe a lot of rather horrific emotional and physical child abuse so if that is something you find disturbing, well. You may not want to read through some of these pages.
